SEO is asking what people already type

The clearest brief I ever got for search writing was not a keyword list. It was a question: what would the reader type if they were looking for this and did not know we existed?

That reframes the whole task. SEO stops being a tax you pay on good writing and becomes the same job as good writing, which is meeting the reader in their own words. People do not search in marketing language. They do not want to discover premium curated experiences. They type where to go in October when it will not rain.

Write travel and lifestyle copy for long enough and you learn that the phrase which ranks and the phrase which reads well are usually the same phrase. The tension people complain about is mostly self-inflicted, the result of starting from what a brand wants to sound like instead of what a person wants to find.

Start from the question. Answer it plainly and early. For once, the search engine and the reader are asking you for the same thing.
